POSTER ABSTRACTS

After closing abstract submission on February 8, 2010, the organizers had received a total of 3875 poster abstracts. Schedule of the poster sessions will be published mid-May and announced by e-mail to all participants.

CALL FOR BUSINESS AND SOCIAL MEETINGS EXTENDED

The application for or announcements of business meetings or socials during the FENS Forum is now possible till April 1, 2010 (new deadline).

DEADLINE FOR EARLY REGISTRATION AND ABSTRACT SUBMISSION POSTPONED

Due to the massive use of the on-line registration and abstract submission webserver during the last days, the period of early bird registration and abstract submission has been extended till February 8, 2010.
Note however that the deadline for FENS/IBRO travel grant applications will NOT be postponed.

NENS JOBS FAIR

Today the FENS Forum organizers introduced information on the NENS Jobs fair. During the meeting one can wear a sticker on its badge as "job seeker" or "job giver"  and registered "job givers" can book a hospitality suite for job interviews or job information meetings.

The organizing committee has launched the on-line registration and abstract submissions. Please read the instructions beforehand. The deadline for early registration and for abstract submission is February 1, 2010 included.

STUDENT TRAVEL GRANTS

Information on student travel grants is available.
Applications for FENS/IBRO WERC and IBRO CEERC travel grants can be done on-line. Instructions to apply for travel grants from national societies are published as well. Please refer to the travel grants page for further details including deadlines.

JUMP THE FENS

A student organizing committee has launched its initial plans for the "Jump the FENS" student party that will take place in the famous Melkweg in Amsterdam on Monday evening, July 5. Find details on the Students page or go directly to http://www.JumptheFENS.eu . This website also allows you to communicate with other participants via a Jump web forum.

CALL FOR EVENTS

The FENS Forum in Amsterdam provides opportunities to host various neuroscience activities. FENS invites other parties to organize either scientific gatherings, company-organized workshops, socials, small board meetings or satellite events. Guidance for acceptance and information on conditions for all these possibilities are described on the Call for events page.

Banners, slides, ready-to-print black & white advertisements and PDFs of full color posters are all available as promotion material of the FENS Forum 2010 for the FENS member societies, but of course also for any individual neuroscientist who wishes to promote attention to the meeting in Amsterdam. PROGRAMME ADVISORS APPOINTED

FENS appointed Programme advisors to assist anyone, especially young scientists, who need expert help to prepare the submission of a proposal for a symposium or workshop at the FENS Forum 2010 in Amsterdam. The advisors were part of the former Forum Programme Committees.

PROGRAMME COMMITTEE APPOINTED

The Programme Committee has been installed with 16 members, the names of which can be found on the Committees page. The Committee is in charge of developing the scientific programme of the meeting on the basis of incoming proposals for symposia and technical workshops. The committee will also establish a programme of plenary lectures, and will decide on placement of offers for special scientific events during the meeting.
